The Yablona Database Explorer

• is database vendor independent. All you need is a relational database and a corresponding JDBC driver.

Yablona Database Explorer V 1.0

Requirements

• Java JRE 5.0 and Eclipse 3.1 must be installed on your computer
• You need a JDBC driver to access you SQL database

Instructions

Installation

• Download dbexplorer.zip
• Unpack it in your Eclipse installation directory
• Launch Eclipse

Setup

• Open menu 'Window' -> 'Show View' -> 'Other ...'
• Select Yablona DB Explorer / Queries in the 'Show View' dialog
• If the 'Queries' view is not in that list, something has
  gone wrong with your installation. Check if
  there is a folder 'org.yablona.dbexplorer.eclipse.PLUGINID_1.0.0'
  in the 'plugins' folder of your Eclipse installation
• Now you should see the Yablona Database Explorer view
• Use the toolbar buttons or the context menu for further actions
   

  	Refresh the list of Queries
  	Edit database connection settings
  	Create a new Query
  	Delete the selected Query

• Open the connection dialog from the Queries view
  
  
   
• Specify the JAR file that contains your JDBC database driver
• Enter driver name, connect string, login and password
• Click 'OK'
